Nicki Kroese - Executive Director

Karen Hefner – Founder
In 1977, Karen and Kurt Hefner started the Pregnancy Crisis Hotline. While Kurt is working in the pharmacy Karen is kept busy with the merchandising side of the Hallmark business. Karen is active in her church, is an avid tennis player and enjoys her spare time with her grandchildren. She remains vigilant in her work for the unborn and is a driving force behind the growth and success of this ministry.

Julie Overacre – President
Julie is a lifelong resident of Magic Valley. She has been married 44 years with 3 grown children and 8 grandchildren. Julie was one of the first of our counselors in the early 1980’s when Sage was known as the Pregnancy Crisis Center. She is an active member of Lighthouse Christian Fellowship and loves Bible study. She loves to spend time with her family and friends. Traveling and golfing with her husband, Eddie, is a blessing this side of heaven. But, above all, she loves her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Molly Arrossa – Secretary
Upon completion of her secondary education degree at Idaho State University, Molly Arrossa and her husband settled in Kimberly. She taught in the Kimberly and Twin Falls School Districts until retirement in 2008. Having a strong belief in the sanctity of life, and being involved in the pro-life community for many years made joining Sage Women’s Center a logical next step in affirming life and protecting women and their unborn children.

Andrew Kendall - Treasurer
Andrew Kendall attends Twin Falls Reformed Church with his wife, Lillie and their 3 teenage sons. Lillie is a volunteer advocate at Sage and also helps with classes. Andrew believes that people are the most valuable asset in a company. He has a background in the board treasurer position and is looking forward to serving in this pro-life mission.

With a heart for women and the sanctity of life, she is committed to making a meaningful impact through her work and advocacy.

Art Brown - Member
Art is a retired United States Navy vet of 26 years, born in Twin Falls, and returned back to Jerome in 1992. Art was married for 42 years before his wife passed away in 2019. He has two children. Art said “I began with the prolife group at St. Jerome Catholic Church in 2022 and donated to prolife causes. This year in 2025 I began involvement with Sage Women’s Center. Even before then I supported them as part of my cause for the unborn and a God-fearing Christian. I am an active member serving at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Jerome, Idaho. I enjoy kayaking with my daughter and fishing with my son and getting to gather in family get-togethers. I am a facilitator for Grief Share at the Twin Falls Reformed Church and serve at the Mary and Martha Food Pantry food bank. Above all, I love being a disciple of Christ and serving God in all things.

Reed Crozier - Member
Reed and his wife Colleen have enjoyed living in Jerome all our lives. We have three grown children that are married and we are blessed with nine grandchildren which range in age from 6 to 20 years old. We enjoy a lot of activities that include traveling internationally with friends and family and also up north to the Stanley basin where we enjoy the water activities and trail riding. We spend a large amount of our time supporting and watching all of the activities that our grandchildren are involved in.
For most of our lives and currently, we are quite involved with various ministries of the St Jerome’s Catholic church that we attend in Jerome.
My work history to present has been in various aspects of the Agricultire industry.
I look forward to helping where and when I can with this important mission work that Sage Women’s Center offers.
